Novotel Saint Avold

It might not be the most charming hotel from the outside, inside its absolutely wonderful! The staff is super friendly, there’s a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet (including gluten-free options) is wonderful too! The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Our kids ended up being super sad that we were only staying for one night :-)

Location is great for travellers through France since it's two minutes off the motorway, but not at all noisy. Breakfast is excellent. Bar food in the evening is indifferent to poor. (If you want better than a dried out burger you need to head into town - but that's only 5 mins) Extremely welcoming of pets. The grounds are extensive and grassy bordered by woodland with pathways - so it's just great for post-driving dog zoomies Very friendly staff. Design of hotel is totally kid-friendly. Pool situated by the bar - so parents can keep an eye on things. A nice touch is a fizzy water dispenser in the hall way - much better than having to pay for bottled water!

the beer wine and food at the restaurant are beyond exceptional. Example: Childrens menu for a four year old was around 10Euro with three courses and a drink. it was the size and quality of the food that impressed us. one thing the French know well is how to do food properly. i had the Steak tartar and a Belgium beer. Was awesome. Rooms were great also. Plus there are multiple EV charge points across the road using chargemap card

Good location easy to find from the motorway, plenty of parking. Nice comfortable room with everything you need. Good bathroom again with everything. Great food in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Everything was great - price, room, cleanliness. Breakfast at €18 each I would say is over priced for the service. But still for the price of the room it was a great hotel.
