Property building in Novotel Saint Avold
For a family of four in one room, it was adequate for one night. We had a swim on arrival which was nice although the pool area looked a bit tired. We had bed, breakfast & evening meal included, which meant 2 courses for each adult. My starter never arrived but the burgers we had were delicious, and then we had dessert which was good. Very nice staff in the restaurant. There was a slight discrepancy when we paid the bill on check out, due to the mix up with food in the restaurant, but this was sorted out, and we paid what we excepted to. Very good location, just off the A4, so great access to the motorway but not noisy. Overall would recommend for a good stopover hotel.

Location is great for travellers through France since it's two minutes off the motorway, but not at all noisy. Breakfast is excellent. Bar food in the evening is indifferent to poor. (If you want better than a dried out burger you need to head into town - but that's only 5 mins) Extremely welcoming of pets. The grounds are extensive and grassy bordered by woodland with pathways - so it's just great for post-driving dog zoomies Very friendly staff. Design of hotel is totally kid-friendly. Pool situated by the bar - so parents can keep an eye on things. A nice touch is a fizzy water dispenser in the hall way - much better than having to pay for bottled water!

the beer wine and food at the restaurant are beyond exceptional. Example: Childrens menu for a four year old was around 10Euro with three courses and a drink. it was the size and quality of the food that impressed us. one thing the French know well is how to do food properly. i had the Steak tartar and a Belgium beer. Was awesome. Rooms were great also. Plus there are multiple EV charge points across the road using chargemap card

It might not be the most charming hotel from the outside, inside its absolutely wonderful! The staff is super friendly, there’s a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet (including gluten-free options) is wonderful too! The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Our kids ended up being super sad that we were only staying for one night :-)
